More pets lose their lives each year from abandonment or euthanasia, due to behavior problems, than from infectious diseases, trauma, or poisoning.
This doesn't have to happen!
Dog training is an investment!
Using Motivational training Methods, you will learn the proper way to train and disipline your pet and at the same time create a bond that will last a lifetime. Training at an early age is extremely beneficial because puppies are so eager to learn and they retain what they learn. Studies have shown the time between 8 to 18 weeks of age to be the most critical time for a puppy to learn bite inhibition, which is a problem for many adult dogs.
Our organization was formed in 1992 out of a concern for the increasing number of dogs being surrendered to local shelters with "fixable" behavior problems. We felt that with our knowledge, and that of our instructors, we could teach pet owners how to deal with and control common problems in pets.
We offer classes for all dogs; young, old and in between. Classes include puppy training, family dog training, begining agility and competition agility. We also offer a variety of specialty classes including trick classes, rally obedience and competition obedience prep work.
Our methods are very humane. We use "motivational" methods which are primarily treat and praise oriented. We never use chain, prong, or shock collars in our classes.
