RALLY OBEDIENCE

Rally Obedience is one of the newest dog sports.  It is open to all dogs.  It is a fun sport that is great for dogs that are preparing to enter obedience competitions, dogs that are retired and just want to keep active and for dogs and handlers that just want to do something together.  Dogs and handlers enter a course and perform the obedience manuver listed on the "road signs".

Do not feed your dog within four (4) hours of the class start time.  Wear soft soled shoes.

CLICKER
Clicker training is the way all most all TV and movie animals are trained.  It is the method used by marine mammal trainers everywhere.  Clicker training is fun and it promotes better communication between owners and their dogs (and other animals).  It is very effective and most importantly it is safe and the dogs love it.  In this class you will learn the theory behind clicker training and learn how to apply it for practical training for your dog.  You will be amazed as you watch your dog become a "thinking dog".

Do not feed your dog within four (4) hours of the class starting time.  Wear soft soled shoes.

This is for dogs who have taken the Intermediate Obedience class and are interested in becoming Therapy Dogs.  Dogs should have either passed a Canine Good Citizen evaluation within the past year OR be close to C.G.C. ready.  There will be a local "field trip" planned at the end of this semester, which may last more than one hour.  This class is the foundation work for therapy dogs and is not a certification.

Do not feed your dog within four (4) hours of the start of this class.  Wear soft soled shoes.
